ABOUT EVANGELIST CAROLYN RICHARDS
Evangelist Carolyn Richards was born into the marriage covenant of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Jenkins Sr. She was born and reared in Chicago, Illinois. Carolyn was born the third of five offspring. As the third child, she could easily play the part of the peacemaker or lead the sibling pack into mischief. No, Carolyn was not an angel child. She was a quiet and reserved child, yet always searching for the next moment of adventurous maneuvers.
At the approximate age of seven, Carolyn looked up into the heavens and wondered where God is? She often thought, 'would He stop hiding in those clouds and reveal Himself to me?' Carolyn's mother describes her as being "a very quiet and religious child" a very good child, and a no nonsense child. At age fourteen, Carolyn was baptized by the late Rev. W. C. Fisher at Saint Joseph M.B. Church in Chicago, Il. Carolyn was not satisfied with mere baptism. She wanted to know and experience God Himself! The God she grew to study love in Sunday school class.
Carolyn desired a Christian education. She attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She later attended the International University of Christian Studies in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Carolyn would often read her Bible by flashlight in bed at night. Trying to learn as much as she could about God, without awaking the military husband.
She accepted her call to the ministry in April 19, 1983, and received her Ministerial License, July 19, 1994 from Word of Life Metro Church in Indianapolis, IN under the watchful eye of Pastor Jeannie Huiett. After accepting her call to the ministry, Carolyn began her ministry by coordinating, developing, and executing Biblical Foundation Classes, along with Bishop John Neal. Intercessory Prayer Groups, and Evangelic Ministries throughout her tenure in Europe. She facilitated seminars, workshops, and conferences in Willigen, Germany for the Protestant Women of the Chapel.
Carolyn aired a weekly radio teaching program with WHMA and WANA in Anniston, AL. She established the "Foundation of Faith Ministry" in Hampton, VA. Carolyn always found ways to help the hurting. Bold as a lion, Carolyn would go from door to door in search of the next new converts to bring to Bible Study on Thursday nights.
Recently, Carolyn authored her first book, "Freed By His Blood". Carolyn's heartfelt prayer is that God will continue to bless, multiply, and propel her into the magnitude of His Love, His Word, His Spirit and His Blood. - Apostle Edward E. Jenkins
